This is what we have reaped

Desolate streets incarnating hopeless hearts,

Was this the beautiful Mother’s norm?

No, no. Reckless rampage and heedless deeds

Were what we humans did.

Turning deaf to the Nature’s piteous call for help,

And then we went on ignoring shrill threats,

Ostentatious omnipresence and high headedness,

Rash expansion on account of bleeding Earth.

Inglorious arrogance and pseudo pride,

Mindless-intelligence and loaned delight,

What have these irremissible meddling reaped?

Graves of our kin as avenge of our deeds

Confined to our limits with shattered vanity,

Consternation looming and hubris shaking,

Prayers have returned on our vile-uttering lips,

And Nature restoring its former glory.
